The Foothills Nurses' Alumni Association (FNAA)
Bursary Program is partnering with the
Alberta Registered Nurses Educational Trust (ARNET)
To ensure the legacy of the Foothills Hospital School of Nursing continues to
be a significant part of nursing history for generations to come.
Criteria for applying:
- To qualify you must be a "current member" of the Foothills Alumni, having
paid annual dues for 2 years prior to the application (proof of this will be
required at the time of your application).
- Courses or conferences must be taken or completed in the previous year.
- The amount of bursaries disbursed is dependent on the number of applicants.
- Deadlines are identified by ARNET.
Application process:
- Access to all funding supports distributed by ARNET is through written
application.
- Go to the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta
(CARNA) website and download an ARNET
application form (on the Educational Funding page, look for Request
Charitable Support Information and Applications).
- The application form will have a designated area for Foothills Alumni to
identify themselves. The applicant will be asked to attach proof of current
membership, but FNAA does not supply cards, so ARNET will contact the Membership
Coordinator or secondly, the President to confirm an applicant's status.
- As a bonus, when you apply through ARNET you also are considered for other
ARNET reimbursement awards as well.
All Bursaries are through CARNA.
To prove that you are an active FNAA member you will need to print your proof of payment receipt.
All active members of the Foothills Nurses Alumni Association are eligible to
receive a bursary for any educational courses or conferences taken to further
their nursing career.
